Just before the COVID 19 crisis cancelled trips and events around the world, our Traktor Team gathered for a huge day of R&D at the URBNsurf Melbourne wave pool. The kicker? While we tested boards, Ferrari would be on site for the global launch of an unseen supercar, with the fastest surfboards in the world requested to add some extra X factor to the spectacle.
So, all afternoon in the foreground Ferrari set up the release of their new F8 Spyder, while we 'warmed up' to be the 10 mins of entertainment for that night’s show. Mateus and Dusty blew minds on their HYFIs, Fred and Ramzi did the biggest turns they’d ever seen in the pool, Dingo surfed a twin better than ever, Parko couldn’t get off his new Monsta Box 2020, and Louie only went right to work on his layback tube stance. Board breakdowns, below.

It's been a huge couple of years for Mateus Herdy. World Junior Champ. First CT event wildcard at 18. Non-stop A grade edits... But that's not all.
Combine the highs with a near season ending injury on the eve of his second CT wildcard, while navigating the potential pitfalls of growing up on the road in the public eye, and the stage is set for this edit. Mindblowing surfing, and surprisingly profound thoughts from a superstar teenager in his second language. We're impressed in more ways than one, and proud to work with this guy.
