Mikey Wright in ROCK - another instant classic from Quiksilver and his best mate / filmer Wade Carroll. Unpredictable and unfiltered as always, Mikey spent two months charging through the North Shore's heaviest tubes and hitting its biggest sections. One of the world’s most electric young freesurfers, Mikey Wright, has joined the likes of Joel Parkinson, Julian Wilson and older brother Owen Wright by signing exclusively with JS Industries surfboards. Originally from Culburra on the NSW South Coast, Mikey has spent the last several years mixing part time competition with trips focussed on getting the biggest and best waves possible. From Tahiti to Hawaii and Micronesia, including a range of waves all over Australia, he’s ridden boards from Jason Stevenson in every condition imaginable before finally deciding to lock-in full time. “The best part about my boards from JS is that I can rely on them for everything. Last year I went straight from a huge Hawaii season to P-Pass, chasing a swell, and I had so many good boards that made me more confident in heavy waves. In the main session when it was solid, I was lucky to not fall once, so thankfully I didn’t even break any!Monday, 14 March 2016 1:24:00 pm Australia/Sydney
