Almost that time of year again! Jules always goes pink with his Quik Pro Gold Coast quiver as a part of his support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, with art either by his talented mum Nola, or our resident sprayer Adrian Turner (above).
Exactly six weeks from now the WSL's 2017 CT circus kicks off on the Gold Coast, and the Traktor Team are all starting to dial in boards for whatever Snapper might throw at them for the season opener!
Julian's first batch are all Monsta 6s based on his favourites from Jbay last year, and combined with a few other gems in his garage (including a couple spicy Air 17s built for home on the Sunny Coast), he's got all the tools he needs to kick into gear for a huge 2017!
Gallery and board breakdowns, below (he's 6'0" / 80kg): MONSTA 6 - 6'0 1/2" x 18 3/4" x 2 3/8" x 28L
Jules, doing some last minute R&D in Hawaii before heading home for the off season. He rides both the Monsta 6 and his Air 17 at 6'0 1/2" x 18 3/4" x 2 3/8" x approx. 28L (a touch more foam being in the Air 17) geared with his signature fin from FCS in large. Photo Ryan Miller
A bag of tricks this deep usually translates to stunts you'll barely see anyone else even attempt... Not hard to understand why alley-oops are Jules' favourite air for big sections! Photo Ryan Miller.
No surprise that one of the best bottom turns in the game translates to arcs like this! Julian, burning through exactly the kind of turn that'll win a lot of heats (and hearts) at Snapper. Photo Trevor Moran
