Billabong's Desert Hilton

Occy, in his element, deep in the desert.

For a Billabong Adventure Division trip, it doesn't get much more fitting than remote, far north WA. Whether you want to test boards and wetsuits, work on your tube riding in heavy water, or just bond with friends while eating fresh fish and camping with barely anyone else around - you can do it all up there. This time around, they've mixed Occy's legendary experience with young guns like Kai to give us all something to be inspired about or relate to for our next surf trip. Full clip, gallery and board breakdowns, below.

Worth every second.

Sure, most of the waves aren't that accessible. But at this point, 8+ hours into the desert, you've already resigned to the fact that getting there has to be half the fun.

Aiming high.

Kai, knifing through one of the shallower, scarier righthanders that you'll see in WA.

Back on a nice open canvas in between slabs.
