Any time you order a surfboard from JS online, you have a 30-day period from the day of delivery to make sure that board is right for you before use.
As long as the board is in “as new” condition, you can return it to us free of charge and we’ll exchange it! This means completely unridden, no wax, no grip, no dings, no extra stickers etc.
Consider it an extra invitation for whatever JS you order to pass the test once you feel it in person - the crucial under arm assessment of its rails, outline, and anything else you might want to be 100% certain it’s the board for you.
For example, if something’s not quite what you were expecting once received, send it back to us and we’ll exchange it for a different board as soon as your request is in stock.
All you have to do is follow the steps detailed below – “Return Instructions”.
Once the board is waxed up and ready to take out into the ocean, it’s yours, no return.
Please carefully assess your product choice before applying grips, wax, or any other accessories, as we will only accept returns of a board in “as new” condition.
If your JS weapon is purchased through any other outlet, you will need to review that outlet’s return policy as those terms will govern your rights.

After years of testing, this is the first twin fin ever released in the JS range, and we’ve timed it precisely to coincide with Parko’s step away from the world tour, and straight towards everything that’s just about the pure enjoyment of surfing. Immediately after announcing his retirement at JBay, Joel jumped onto this board to see one of his favourite breaks in the world with fresh eyes, and rode one wave the entire length of the point, grinning the whole way. He was hooked, and so were we.
By design, JS wanted our twin fin to be equal parts old school speed and new school flair. Foam in all the right places to float over soft sections and fly down the line, yet still allow you to lay it on rail or bust the fins even when you’re going Mach 10. Parko’s overwhelming standout from all of our R&D combined a flat rocker with vee throughout the board from nose to tail, with a balanced, maneuverable plan shape.
JS also tested the twin in a huge range of waves, from tiny beach breaks at home on the Gold Coast, to perfect overhead Cloudbreak. His favourite board? The exact same as Joel’s, with the perfect blend of strengths to make the most versatile twin of ‘em all, which is what we now call the Black Baron.
Whether you’re surfing weak beachies or quality, down the line points and reefs, the Black Baron is a hybrid that allows you to take whatever approach you’re interested in, from exploring new lines and just how fast you can go on a wave, to combining sharp rail turns with throwing the tail. Whatever way you go, it’s all about maximum fun.

Black Baron performs best in flatter waves where you're looking to generate your own speed.
Rocker |
An overall low to flat rocker is well suited to create speed and glide in small to average conditions. |
Fin setup |
Black Baron comes stock as a twin fin. Alternative setups are available with custom orders. |
Glassing specs |
Boards are glassed standard with 4 oz. deck x 4 oz. bottom. (All sizes come standard with Hybrid Fibre tail strips). |
Rail type |
Black Baron has flat low rails as a result of the board's flat deck, hiding volume in the right places for extra float, but also allowing you to turn at high speed. |
Black Baron features a VEE throughout the board from nose to tail with added double concave through the fins. This design helps rock the board from rail to rail with ease.
