Non-Stop Perfection in SA

The last men standing at JBay, both owners of perfect 10s, a couple of hard fought trophies, and the obligatory face full of our title sponsor's suds. What a week! Photo Ryan Miller

With JBay firing non-stop from the warm-ups to just about every round of competition, Fred stuck with one of his favourite slight step-ups all the way to the finals. At 6'1" / 81kg, he rides a 6'2" x 18 7/8" x 2 3/8" x 28.5L Forget Me Not squash tail. Photo Ryan Miller

Julian looked incredibly sharp right from the start in SA, and kept delivering all the way through to another huge semi-final result at one of his favourite waves. Photo Trevor Moran

From throwing down 10s with tubes like this, to laying into some of the best rail turns of the event, Jules is a perennial standout at the best point break in the world. Photo Trevor Moran

J-Dub, heavy on the back foot. Similar to Fred, he went with a slight step up 6'2" Forget Me Not on the bigger days, but also switched to several other favourites - including his regular shortboard (Monsta 6, 6'0 1/2" x 18 3/4" x 2 3/8" x 28L). Photo Trevor Moran

Another brand new gem made especially for the Jefferies Bay points was this FOMO channel bottom Monsta 6, 6'1" x 18 3/4" x 2 3/8" x 28.4L. With Joel, Jules and JS himself experimenting even more with channels this year (and absolutely loving them when conditions call for it) we've made them available on all PU custom orders for that extra bit of drive and speed in good waves. JBay 2017's already guaranteed to be one of the most memorable CT events in recent memory for everyone around the world, but for this guy, it's just about the biggest milestone of his career so far. Congratulations Fred! Photo Trevor Moran
