Click on the link below to check out PARKO'S NEW WEBSITE and find out how his ankle is and what its been like surfing with JS and Luke.
FLYBOY BALISTYLE

Photo: Andres Wurst on his flyboy model _Uluwatu, Bali
No doubt it has been one of the busiest seasons on record in Indo this year. With cheap fights and good swell, every man and his dog has been riding bemo's and sipping Bintangs. Peruvian Billabong team rider Andres Wurst also decided to get his slice of Indo action and show the Ulu's lineup that his JS Flyboy works.
Pretty sure that nobody disagreed with him.
JS hits the beaches of japan
Jason Stevenson (shaper and company founder) and Paul Stacy (head designer for 6 Star Boardiriding Co) recently took to the beaches of Japan in a pre organised demo day tour. With multiple stops and a hand full of boards under their arms, they toured the land of the rising sun not realising how popular the demo days would be.
The Japanese surfing community came along in droves to meet Jason and Paul, talk to them and get the chance to ride some of the JS Industries and 6 Star ranges. They scored some great waves during the demo days, and met a lot of good people and saw some great surfing. The boards were so popular with the surfers in Japan, that both Jason and Paul came back with no boards at all…….That’s right, they came home empty handed and even gave away their own personal boards
'This wave in Miyazaki was really fun. The take of was really good and started to really pitch, but then the wave fattened up in the mid section. It was a fun wave though and we were glad to get some good swell. We had such a great time surfing there and meeting all the locals. We couldn’t believe how many people wanted to ride our boards!!' said Jason about the Japan demo day tour.
Check out a few of these images below of Jason and Paul in action at Miyazaki, and keep your eyes peeled for the next JS and Sixstar demo day in your area…..

Fish In A Blender

The Story of how Jason Stevenson's stolen fish reignited a world title contender in Joel Parkinson
In their latest issue, the guys at Surfing World magazine discovered the true story behind the relationship between Parko and JS. Sean Doherty sat down with them both while the Quiksilver pro was on in March 2009, and found out what really happened. It all started from a fish that Parko took from Jason's office while he was away. He surfed it, fell in love with it, and now the rest is history.

I`m 186cm - 88kg
Looking for a board for shoulder-headhigh + waves.
Im surfing a SA KB 6'0 -20 3/4- 2 5/8
for slop
& my standard thruster
6`3-19 3/8 - 2 1/2
Im hesitating between a 6`2 or 6`3 jordy or occy.
Cheers M
Without knowing your ability and/or the type of waves you are surfing, I would recommended the BB, but maybe look at the 5'8. These boards are normally ridden 3-4" shorted than your normal size.
Hope this helps
JS
I would recommend a BlakBox 5'10 19 3/4 2 3/8 - the extra width will give you some versatility. Stoked you are having a look.
Regards, JS
I would recommened sizing down 3-4" on your current board - what are you current riding?
Cheers, JS
thanks
i live in the uk and i have been looking at a js for a while
but i cant seem to find anywhere to get one
do u k ow anywhere i can?
surfboard = 19 1/2 2 1/4
i am going to post a review next week. =)
I'm thinking a 5'10 Black Box is what I should be looking at. Would that be right? or should I be considering the 5'11?
Thanks!
John
so awesome that you personally answer questions here. I'm 5'10" 67kgs. I'm 35 and been surfing 6 years. intermediate ability. I don't generally surf thrusters unless it's good, then I ride a 6'2". mostly a 5'9" quadfish. and it wide (maybe too much so) at 20 1/4. I'm trying to decide between a 5'9 and 5'10 BB. Suggestions?
I'm leaning towards 5'9 considering your weight and current boards. its a real good idea to go to a shop and put them under your arm for final decision. JS
Thanks!Pedro
you suggest 5'8 or bigger?
slater rides a 5'10 at pipe.""" kind of thing. PARKOOO love it..... Thanks
not afraid of a little more volume, because I surf most sessions in a 6mm wetsuit. So which length would you recommend? 6'0? Or could I go smaller? A hint would be great! :-)
BB while slightly modifying tail design and nose width. I'm 5'11 200lbs and an intermediate surfer in anything from 3-10ft. If I'm going for a 6'0 20 2 9/16 (similar to Luke's dims), what thicknesses do you go with 1 ft from the tail and nose? I know this
will effect flex characteristics.
at least 2 3/8 thick (no less)
