Californian JS Agent (Shawn Dollar) wins at XXL Awards
Thursday, April 29, 2010
Shawn Dollar is no ordinary guy. He resides in California, and he sure can sell a JS surfboard.... that is why he works for JS industries as one of our agents on the west coast of the USA. But in his down time, he likes to get his big figs out and show the world that he likes to ride massive waves. This shot of him ridiing this monster wave at Mavericks won him the biggest wave paddled in to in history! You can have that wave Shawn... well done! If you ever see Shawn in store selling JS surfboards, be sure to give him a pat on the back.

I get?
I'm 6'2" and 109 kgs, would the 6'6'' version of this board work for me?
110 pounds.... 5'4x 18 3/4 x 21/8
Im 6'1" about 165 lbs, I was wondering what size would be best for me and what would be the best way to order one for my quiver.
i think either size would suit you fine.
id suggest the 5'8 or 5'9 Blak Box. they are both 19 1/2 x 2 1/4. if you have any other questions let me know.
Regards
JS
I have a 5'10" blakbox and love it!! top 2 boards of all time for small to medium waves. What would be your suggestion for a better wave board that's a good compliment to the blakbox?
Thanks again!
Cheers,
Ralph
i would go for the 5'8 if you have to choose.
could you let me know your height weight and standard board dims. also the kind of surf you want this board for.
JS
I'm 5'10 about 165 lbs and old :) (36 years)
intermediate level, surf mostly beachbreaks here in huntington and also surf trestles a few times a week. waves kinda on the softer side.
Good wave thruster is a 6'2x19x2.38 and also a 6'0x19.25x2.44 lost sd2.
cheers,
ralph

id suggest the 5'10 x 19 3/4 x 2 3/8 or the 5'11 if you dont want to go too short.
JS
I weigh 82 kgs. I am 5'9. My standard shortboard dimensions are 6'1 by 18 1/2 by 2 5/16. I am a competent surfer.
What size black box should I get?
Thanks.
thanks
I would look at a BlakBox 5'9 to get you going in average to good waves. The extra width will give you a board that is forgiving in crappy surf, but it will still do the business when the waves turn on.
Cheers, JS
This board looks dynamite (as do all the others). Im looking at a 5'8. Im 5'8, 63kg. On the money, or should I be going smaller? My board for better days is 5'11 x 18 1/4 x 2 1/4. Im in southwest W.A if that makes any difference.
