RASTA STEALS LITTLE RED
Wednesday, March 31, 2010
Just a few months back, during the latest season in Hawaii, Parko's V2.1 went missing for a few days.... His "Little Red" was gone! Turns out Dave Rastovich had taken it for a surf and loved it! Here is a shot that turned up in the latest Transworld Surf.... check it out. Looks very similar to the shot of Parko riding the same board in our catalogue and on this site.

Blak Box - The New Board Model from JS Industries
Thursday, March 25, 2010
Parko took a new board for a surf at Snapper this week, and he was all over it! "This is one of the fastest small wave boards around!" he said when he came back into the factory to give JS the run down " I love it!". Check out Parko's form in this clip, and get set to order a Blak Box for yourself.

What was the size Parko is riding in the clip? I'm about same size and weight...looks sick.
JS commented on 21-Apr-2010 12:42 PM
Parko rides a 5'8 x 19 1/2 x 2 1/4

What are the main differences between the new Blak Box and the Nitro? I love the Nitro for small waves, so I am just wondering whether to switch when it is time to replace it.

JS commented on 06-May-2010 08:37 AM
6 foot and 85kg....try a 5'11 or 6'0 my friend. we generally say to ride them 4 inches shorter than your normal shortboard.
JS commented on 06-May-2010 08:38 AM
6 foot and 155 pounds... you might want to look at a 5'10.. you are tall but lean, so I think this is a good option.

I just bought a 6'2 " parko signature board here in kirra, awesome board, took a big drop in size for me but is the right size for my height and weight (6ft, 71kg) Cant decide between tha Black box or the King pin right now, any advice on which to go for first and size's? It's for riding on the goldie and I'm still kinda a begginer. Bye the bye, Thanks for an awesome board dude

JS commented on 27-Aug-2010 11:38 AM
Stephen, sorry for the delay. Stoked to hear you enjoy your Jordy, the boys at KS know their stuff. If you want a board thats suitable for most conditions thrown at you then I would say go the Kingpin, we usually say drop 3-4 inches but as you are semi beginner you would only want to drop around 2-3 inches, however as you are only light I would say a 5'11". This gives you the option of 3 fin or quad setup and holds up in size, whereas the BlakBox is predominately for smaller sloppy conditions. Hit me back if you have any more Q's. Cheers
JS commented on 27-Aug-2010 12:55 PM
Josh, wow your super light buddy. Although we don't have a 5'4" listed in our BlakBox model plan, we do a 5'4 x 18 3/4 x 2 upon request

JS commented on 14-Oct-2010 02:21 PM
Hey Jake - Thanks for your enquiry. We say to drop 4-6 inches, your ability level will really determine what length you go for - but given your height and weight I would be recommending the 5'10 for an intermediate to advanced surfer. Parko is the same weight as you but 2 inches shorter and he rides a 5'8, so I would say around the 5'10. Cheers JS

JS commented on 22-Nov-2010 11:30 AM
Hi Kelsey,
Without knowing your ability and/or the type of waves you are surfing, I would recommended the BB, but maybe look at the 5'8. These boards are normally ridden 3-4" shorted than your normal size.
Hope this helps

Aloha Jason. I am 6 foot 185 lbs. I have been riding a 5'8" x 20" x 2 1/2" JS Dyno. I love the board and it paddles great and it goes great in all types of small surf. I want to purchase a Blk Box from 5'8" to 5'11 but all of the boards this size are not 2 1/2" thick. I want to keep the thinkness with out going so long. I found one 6'0" x 20" x 2 1/2" but I would like one shorter. Do you plan on making any shorter and thicker? And if so where will we be able to purchase them here in the States? Thank you for all of your input JS and keeping all of us stoked on surfing with your magical boards! Mahalos JS!

Hi JS, I'm currently seeking a new board for next summer and I just saw the Dyno has many great feedbacks. I live in France and surf in Hossegor (you may know the place). This part of France has excellent beach breaks, pretty hollow waves even during summer. I'm 6"2 and 80kg. What size of Dyno would you recommand ? Do you think it would suit summer french beack breaks waves ? Cheers for the feedback, hope i'll grab a JS soon!

Hey there, I currently have a JS Nitro 6'2 but feel it may now be too wide/thick for my size/weight & now that I am progressing. May just be my lack of skills but seems to ride a bit high in the water/harder to turn compared to thinner boards I have recently tried & hard for me to duck dive deep enough? What would you recommend as my next board. I am 6ft & 68kg. Thanks

Hey, JS! I'm thinking about a BlakBox as a board for the North Sea. Conditions are often pretty mushy and many times waves lack the power the bigger oceans. I'm 6'2 (around 80kg), now surfing a CI Pod 6'0 (quad version) and sometimes a 5'8 Biscuit. I'm
not afraid of a little more volume, because I surf most sessions in a 6mm wetsuit. So which length would you recommend? 6'0? Or could I go smaller? A hint would be great! :-)

Hi! I would like to know which stores do you have in South America or Central America if i want to buy a JS Industries Black Box 5'8? To which dealer I must talk/email to? I'm from Argentina but I am traveling to Central America in January/February. Thanks!

Hi JS, I got a chance to ride the 6'0 20 2 1/2 BB and absolutely loved it! I rode it in 4-6ft Swami's and found I could out position/paddle/drop everybody on anything I went for. I've shaped about 15 boards now and plan to mimick the dimensions of the
BB while slightly modifying tail design and nose width. I'm 5'11 200lbs and an intermediate surfer in anything from 3-10ft. If I'm going for a 6'0 20 2 9/16 (similar to Luke's dims), what thicknesses do you go with 1 ft from the tail and nose? I know this
will effect flex characteristics.

Jordy riding his 2010 Signature Model
Friday, March 19, 2010
Check out this clip of Jordy riding his new 2010 signature model just after the Quik Pro on the Gold Coast. This is the board that took him all the way through to the final, and also gave him the highest heat score of the contest.

Hi:
I m thinking in order this model, I'm 5,8 and 85 kg wich dimensions on the 6'1 size you think would work better?
JPJSS61 6'1 18 1/2 2 1/4
JPJSS61B 6'1 18 5/8 2 5/16
JPJSS61C 6'1 18 3/4 2 3/8
what you thin about this dimensions on the 5 model:
JPAI561B 6'1 18 1/2 2 3/16
Wich one you think would work best?? Considering using a 3/2 mm wet suit

Hey JS, I was wondering if you'd recommend this model to someone who likes a lot of rocker in their boards. I am 5'11 and 175lbs (180cm and 80kgs). I am an intermediate-advanced surfer. I usually ride a 6'2" x 18 5/8" x 2 3/8" CI Proton, which I love. But wanted to try either a Jordy or Parko model but not sure which one to go for.

JORDY MAKES FIRST FINAL AT QUIK PRO SNAPPER ROCKS
Friday, March 05, 2010
Jordy made his first WCT final at the Quiksilver Pro on the Gold Coast today. Although surfing well in the final against Taj Burrow, the ocean didn’t quite favour Jordy as he went down to an in form opponent. Jordy credits his finely tuned quiver to his great start to the year and will no doubt be celebrating down at the Coolangatta Sands Hotel. Check the clip for his awesome 9.93 that Jordy scored during the contest. Well done Jordy, from all the crew here at JS!
