is the board parko riding the same board that is saw JS riding at 6 ft deserts ,i'm pretty sure it was a quad. who is stocking them in OZ

Hey Micko,yeah mate the board i rode at deserts was a kingpin, went amazing the quad went really good in the barrel, so fast. were building stock at the moment so stores should see them in about 4 weeks.

what fins should i ride in this i notice jp talk about as a quad ,it sounds like this board goes in everything if it has been ridden at deserts as well,thats a pretty sweet wave

Hi PC, so far the quad has worked best at speed, ie in barrels and open faces. if you want to surf vertical then the thurster set up is the go. JS

i was about to order a cv8 bit now i also like the look of the kingpin which would be better for fuller faced ( victorian ) waves in the 3-5 ft range ?

hey Ed, custom kingpins will be available as long as you stick close to the stock sizes. making them thinner or thicker is no problem. the stock sizes on the site are as a suggestion and also what you would find stock in store. JS

which board will surf more vertically (thruster like) as a quad the kingpin or the vx5

Hi Dave, the kingpin will surf more like a standard board compared with the VX5. the VX5 being a vee bottom with more a fish style outline will surf slightly more flat. Kingpin is the go.

Will this become available in the epoxy carbon rail style as well? I have seen the nitro in this and it looks and feels sick.

Kingpin stock is getting made at the moment. it should be in store in Santa Cruz in a few weeks. you can also custom order if you like. JS

Hi JS the Kingpin looks sick. trying to decide between the parko 6'1 signature or the 5'9 Kingpin. I mostly surf small below average Perth waves so guessing kingpin is the better option. any advice would be much appreciated

hi Josh, without knowing your ability id suggest the 5'6 Kingpin. if you are an advanced surfer then you could ride a 5'4 or 5'5.

Hi Ryan, id go for the Kingpin for sure. you will have much more fun in the majority of perth conditions and if the surf does get good they still go great. check out your nearest Star Surf store . JS

There’s been heaps of talk about AI and his stepped up, 3rd place performance at the 6.0 Trestles WQS last week on some mystery board of JS.

So to save any Konfusion we thought we better fill you in a little.

In down time AI has been surfing and training on the Goldie with Parko, LE and JS which of course involves trying a few of the boys Traktors, and one in particular, that has got him freakin’. Were not gonna give the the secret up but we can tell you its called KONFUSION. A little something JS shaped for himself and was sitting pretty in a small pile of R&D boards to be released next summer. AI rode the un-badged sample, and wouldn’t give it back.

He loved it so much JS had to make more the same to take to the US, unaware that everyone, in particular AI would make such a fuss about it.

Looks like this thing could be available sooner than expected.. So keep an eye out for it.
